Amy L. Fickling (afickling@tr.com) has been managing editor of the Multimedia Group of newsletters at TRI Inc. since January 1995. Her topics of coverage include electronic commerce, electronic messaging, Internet service providers and smart card technology. Ms. Fickling has been cited frequently in the mass media as an authority on online subscribership patterns. She has led press-freedom and professional-development committees at the National Press Club, and is a past national board member of the Society of Professional Journalists, which honored her nationally for outstanding leadership during her year as D.C. Chapter president. Ms. Fickling holds a B.A. degree in English and History from Wake Forest University and an M.A. degree in Journalism and Public Affairs from American University.

Jerry Ashworth (jashworth@tr.com) has been editor of these two biweekly newsletters since 1997, covering the spectrum of electronic commerce and smart card issues. Ashworth previously edited newsletters on environmental legislation and policy at Business Publishers, Inc. He also covered local news at two community newspapers in Georgia in the late '80s and early '90s. He is a 1987 graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in journalism.
