DHS Enlisting ISPs To Deploy Cybersecurity System, Lawmakers Told

The Department of Homeland Security has arranged for CenturyLink, Inc., to use DHS's Einstein 3 network security system to protect federal agencies that use CenturyLink as their Internet service provider, a top DHS official told lawmakers this week.

DHS is aiming to reach similar agreements with the other four ISPs used by federal departments, Roberta Stempfley, acting assistant secretary in DHS's Office of Cybersecurity and Communications, told the House Homeland Security Committee's subcommittee on cybersecurity, infrastructure protection, and security technologies.
